Branding a Breast Monitoring Device

Dotplot's device needs an identity to help sell the product to consumers. The device needs a name, branding and an application that the consumer would use to create monthly scans of their breast.

Problem

Dotplot's new device needs a name and an identity. Considering how the identity will apply throughout the app, including a report page that provides a summary of the monthly scans to deliver sensitive information. Keeping in mind there is a lack of awareness for monitoring breast health regularly. Secondly, there isn’t enough education surrounding how to self-check breasts properly. This new device has to raise awareness whilst being a device that is used with easily and professionally.

Solution

Dotplot's Ripple is a hand-held device that spots abnormalities within breast tissue - all at home. "Just like a ripple effect - small, regular checks with ripple can lead to significant impacts on breast health awareness and early detection".
The branding, a colour scheme and Figma mockup of the device's application was created to make the device have it's own commercial identity. The main idea was to create a sense of relaxation and calmness, posing the device as a nurse that is there for regular checkups.
